Jack Mason is a Massachusetts-licensed home inspector with MKC Associates, known for his sharp attention to detail, technical expertise, and dedication to educating clients about their homes.
Jack has been inspecting homes since 2015, following a distinguished career that included more than 10 years supervising building and property maintenance at Harvard Law School. Prior to that, he spent over three decades in the electronics and computer science industries, developing a keen analytical mindset that he now brings to every home inspection. His deep experience allows him to identify issues thoroughly and explain them clearly, helping clients make informed decisions about their properties. He places special emphasis on health, safety, and energy efficiency during every inspection.
Recently, Jack expanded his credentials by becoming a Massachusetts Licensed Lead Inspector. This new qualification enables MKC Associates to offer comprehensive lead inspections for clients purchasing or maintaining older homes — a critical service in a region where many properties were built before lead-safe building practices were in place.
Beyond his professional work, Jack has gained hands-on construction knowledge through the renovation of his own 1912 Folk Victorian home in Somerville, MA. This personal project gave him valuable insights into the construction methods, materials, and renovation challenges common in Massachusetts homes over the last century.
Jack is also a proud father and grandfather. In his free time, he enjoys adventuring along the Maine coastline and visiting his grandchildren.
