About:

JEFF MAYCOCK

Jeff joined MKC in February of 2026. He comes to the home inspection field after 25 successful years in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, where he worked as a molecular biologist and oversaw various aspects of operations in research and production laboratory environments, all roles that demand the kind of analytical mindset that also make a great home inspector.

As a young adult, Jeff garnered experience in construction roles, such as industrial and residential roofing, commercial painting, and hardwood floor refinishing. His DIY/can-do attitude and decades of home ownership afforded him opportunities for plumbing, electrical, hvac, and masonry work, among others.

Jeff has had a lifelong passion for all things wood, completing training programs for fine furniture woodworking at the North Bennett Street School in Boston, and timber frame construction methods at the North House Folk School in MN. He is a Master Craftsman furniture maker, and has two timber frame cabins under his belt.

He is the proud father of two young adult daughters. In his free time he loves to cook, and spend time in the woods/mountains hiking, running, biking, and playing disc golf.

He loves the excitement around buying a home, and brings that positive enthusiasm to work for you!
